Onboarding

  • How to Register for Paychex Flex

    You can start your registration in two ways

    1. Directly from the Paychex Flex Mobile App
      Download the Paychex Flex app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
      Open the app and select “Try it Out”
      When asked if you are an Administrator or Employee, scroll to the bottom and click “Sign Up”

    2. From an Email Invitation
      You will receive an email from Paychex with a link to start your registration
      Follow the instructions in that email to complete the sign-up process

    Other Tips and Tricks

    Make sure screen lock is turned off on your mobile device while registering
    If your phone is not working, try registering from an iPad
    Try both the app and the website, as one may work better than the other

  • ALL GREAT CLIPS HIRES ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE ACADEMY WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE. The Great Clips Academy is a blended learning program combining online courses and live, virtual training to create a cohesive, customizable, and comprehensive training and development experience. Academy is the first step to developing great stylists and designed to get stylists on the floor and serving customers quickly.

    Academy formatting is fun, informative, and gives participants a strong understanding of the Great Clips Brand and the 5 Steps to Delivering GREAT. Online Academy course participants can choose close captioning in Spanish or English and can toggle captioning on or off during a course.

    Upon completion of the online courses, stylists attend The GREAT Academy session, a live, virtual experience dedicated to delivering the brand and the 5 Steps to Delivering GREAT.

    There are three optional technical sessions as well:

    • Clipper Academy

    • Outlines & Interiors Academy

    • Advanced Techniques & Trends

    Franchisees can customize the training experience for what the stylist needs. A newer stylist may benefit from attending all live, virtual technical sessions, while a veteran stylist might be best served by attending The GREAT Academy and Advanced Techniques & Trends sessions. Franchisees can use the Advanced Techniques & Trends sessions as a way to help retain stylists. Stylists regularly request opportunities to take advantage of training and education that helps them deliver great service for customers. 

  • Orientation is done in two MANDATORY parts. 

    The first part will be a done virtually on Zoom with Sam. This will be available   EVERY THURSDAY from 10:30-11, just log on! No sign up required! (Or you can text Sam directly for a different time at 612-710-4601)

    The second part will be done IN PERSON at the Stevens Great Blaine office monthly with Carol. Please bring your paystub, and your Employee Detail report (available from your manager) for the last month of work. You can sign up below for the in person portion.

    Again, BOTH parts are MANDATORY and must be completed by 60 days of hire!!
